Cancellation Policy

As we reserve a spot specifically for your appointment, we kindly request that you inform us of any cancellations at least 48 hours in advance. Please note that a $50 cancellation fee will apply if the cancellation is made within the 48-hour window. You can make changes or cancellations by signing in to your account or emailing us at support@vitalcleans.com.

In the event of a lockout, we provide a 30-minute grace period to resolve the issue. If the matter remains unresolved beyond this time frame, we will regrettably need to leave the premises, and a $50 cancellation fee will apply.


Sick Policy

If you or your children become ill with a contagious illness (such as the flu, Covid-19, a cold, pneumonia, chickenpox, etc.), please prioritize your health and reschedule your cleaning appointment. While we diligently disinfect your home, there is still a risk of transporting germs to other households or infecting our staff. To maintain fairness and safety for all our customers, we kindly request that you wait until you and your family have fully recovered, plus an additional two weeks.

For your convenience, we offer specialized biohazard cleaning services for properties following an illness. Rest assured, we take proactive measures to safeguard our staff and clients. Our team undergoes daily health screenings, and we enforce quarantine measures for any staff member who has been in contact with individuals testing positive for contagious illnesses. In the event that your regular house cleaner falls ill, we will arrange a replacement to ensure your home receives the necessary cleaning attention.

We strive to ensure your complete satisfaction. If, for any reason, you are not entirely satisfied, please call us at 312-752-8670 immediately, and we will make every effort to address your concerns within the next 24 hours. We will gladly re-clean any areas that were missed at no extra charge to you. Please note that our satisfaction guarantee applies only if a claim is made within the 24-hour window following the service. To assist us in resolving the issue, we may ask for photos of any claims for our records.


Additional tasks

We allocate a specific amount of time for your home cleaning. If you need additional services, kindly reach out to our office at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to schedule the appropriate amount of time for your service.


Valuables

Please ensure that any items of high monetary or sentimental value, especially small items such as jewelry, are stored away from our staff's work area. We cannot accept responsibility for misplaced items. Additionally, please be aware that items that have fallen to the floor could potentially be accidentally vacuumed due to the strong suction power of our commercial vacuum cleaner.


Safety Policy

A) The safety of both our staff and customers is our top priority. If our staff perceives any risk to their safety while on the premises, they reserve the right to leave without notice. Following their departure to a safe location, a manager will promptly communicate with you to discuss canceling or rescheduling the appointment. Any work completed up to that point will be billed at our hourly rate, along with a $50 cancellation fee.

B) If any area in the home is considered or has the potential to be a biohazard, we will refrain from cleaning it. This includes, but is not limited to, emptying or cleaning cat litter boxes, handling human or animal bodily fluids or feces, and similar situations.

C) If any furniture, appliances, fixtures, or electronics are deemed loose or have the potential to break during cleaning, we reserve the right to skip cleaning those items. This decision is made to prioritize the safety of our staff and to mitigate any liability concerns.


Mode of Entry

You do not need to be present at home during the cleaning. However, it's essential to arrange entry beforehand. For apartment or condo cleans, you can leave the keys with your doorman or front desk. For residential properties, we can access through a garage code or door code. If these options are unavailable, we recommend using a designated lockbox for our cleaners. Please ensure you provide a unique house alarm disarm code specifically for our cleaning professionals.


Pets

For the safety of your pets, please ensure they are securely confined in a designated area during the cleaning service. We may need to open doors multiple times, and while we take every precaution, we cannot be held liable for any escapes or injuries that may occur.


Moving, and Post-Construction Cleaning

Please ensure that your house or apartment is vacant and that any other contracting services, such as movers, painters, or renovators, have completed their work before the cleaning appointment. Your house cleaner should be the final person in the process of preparing your home for moving or after renovations. We cannot be held responsible for additional dust or dirty floors and surfaces if other contractors service your home after the cleaning. Additionally, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse service if there is ongoing foot traffic in the home that would hinder us from completing our services promptly. A cancellation fee may apply in such cases.


Air Conditioning and Heating

Please ensure that your AC is set to 72 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer and your heater is set to 68 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter, as these are the recommended safety temperatures regulated by the state. Please note that we cannot perform cleaning services in an environment that does not comply with these safety temperatures.


Utilities

Please keep in mind that our cleaning tasks rely on electricity and regulated running water. If your home lacks any of these utility services, we will be unable to perform our cleaning duties.


Billing

A pre-authorization hold will be placed on your credit card the day before the service. Please be aware that some banks may display this hold as a charge, but it is only a pre-authorization. You will not be charged until after the service is completed, and you will receive a paid invoice via email immediately thereafter.
